Events: places to be and sights to see in Luxembourg on the weekend of October 8-9
The museum night, a rock concert, stand-up routines, a walnut festival and other fresh events for your upcoming weekend.
Night of Museums
This weekend from Saturday 17:00 to Sunday 01:00, the 21st Night of Museums awaits you with a special program of performances, music, workshops, special tours and culinary surprises at the seven participating museums in Luxembourg City. Deep Purple concert
If you appreciate hard’n’heavy classic rock, don’t miss these legendary musicians at Rockhall on October 9. Today, the band’s discography is considered one of the strongest in the genre’s storied history. And their classic hits are still as fast and exhilarating now as they were back in the seventies. Ticket prices start at 59 euros.
Two-day-long comedy festival
Female stand-up program Festrogen Quick ‘n’ Dirty hits the scene. Participants will also be invited to perform during an open mic session. The mini-festival will end with the Too Much routine by Anshita Cole. Please note that the event will be held in English.
Walnut Fair
On October 9, the walnut festival Nëssmoort will take place in Vianden. The streets of the medieval town will be filled with the aromas of walnut-centered dishes and the sounds of folk music. You can get to the fair by bus or by car, see detailed instructions online.
Swap meet
On October 8 in the heart of the capital a swap meet will work at Place d’Armes from 8 am to 6 pm. Bargain hunters will find vintage, hand-made and exotic goods offered for sale by professional craftsmen.
