The Luxembourg-based contemporary music ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin has announced the programme for the closing event of the 2026 Musique+ festival. The event will take place on Sunday 12 July at the Valentiny Foundation in the commune of Remerschen, transforming the exhibition space into an interdisciplinary creative laboratory. The organisers’ main aim is to demonstrate how music interacts with technology, movement, landscape and architecture, going beyond the traditional concert format.

The event will open with a musical walking tour entitled ‘Route du son’, featuring three world premieres. The programme will begin with a collaborative project by composer Catherine Kontz and choreographer Elisabeth Schilling, combining music and dance. This will be followed by a new work by Ivan Boumans, exploring the philosophical concept of time. The tour will conclude at the Domaine Sunnen-Hoffmann vineyard, where participants will be offered a synaesthetic experience combining wine tasting with a musical composition by Núria Bonet.

The festival’s daytime programme will focus on innovation and experimental formats. As part of a special panel discussion, experts and musicians will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on composition and the synergy between technological progress and artistic self-expression. Next, the Belgian Centre Henri Pousseur, which specialises in hybrid musical genres, will present its electro-acoustic programme. Immediately afterwards, visitors will be able to interact with the kinetic sound sculpture GRAVITON, created in collaboration with architect Nico Steinmetz and the contemporary workshop of the Luxembourg City Conservatoire.

The festival will conclude with an immersive performance entitled *A Practice of Listening*, created by trombonist Daniel Serafini. The project is based on the concept of Deep Listening, which combines sound meditation with active perception, whereby the audience becomes a full co-creator of the piece being performed. The event will take place from 11:00 to 18:00; a single ticket costs 25 euros, including participation in the tasting.
