The Luxembourg Open Air (LOA) festival is raising the bar again: this year's closing event will take place on 12 and 13 September 2025 at one of Luxembourg's most impressive post-industrial venues, Metzeschmelz in Esch-sur-Alzette. Once home to red-hot pig iron and humming blast furnaces, it is now a stage for global electronic music stars.
The main names of the poster - W&W, Maddix and DJs From Mars - represent only the tip of the iceberg of the rich programme. The festival will feature several stages, each of which will be dedicated to a different direction: techno, hardtechno, drum & bass, hardstyle and other genres of electronic music.
The unique architectural space of the former steel mill will add a unique atmosphere to the LOA: metal structures, concrete and light all make Metzeschmelz one of the most expressive locations for electronic culture in the region.
The organisers stress that getting to the festival is convenient and stress-free with trains and buses to Esch-sur-Alzette station - from there the journey to the LOA will take minutes.
