Luxembourg's Water Management Administration issued warnings on Monday about possible flooding in the northern and southern parts of the country.
A yellow danger level has been declared in the north of the country. Water levels in the Sur river basin are rising significantly due to recent heavy rainfall. This is particularly noticeable at the Dikirch gauging station, where an orange alert level cannot be ruled out.
In contrast, no exceeding of the orange alert level is expected at the measurement station in Bollendorf.
The southern part of Luxembourg is also under a yellow warning. Heavy rains have caused water to rise in the Alzette river basin. This is particularly noticeable at the measuring stations in Attert and Ettelbrück, where there is a risk that the water level will reach the orange alert level.
Authorities advise to watch for updates and be prepared for possible complications, especially in areas adjacent to rivers.
