At around 6:30am on Thursday morning, a mass brawl broke out on Rue de Bouillon in the Luxembourg neighbourhood of Hollerich, injuring at least two people. Several police patrols arrived on the scene at the alarm call. The law enforcement officers recognised the presence of a large group of participants and quickly intervened to stop the conflict.
One of the victims suffered head injuries and was hospitalised. The second one, with stab wounds, left the scene on his own before the arrival of medical and police personnel.
An investigation into the incident has been launched. Neither the reasons for the conflict nor the exact number of participants are yet known. The police are appealing to possible witnesses who were in the vicinity or have useful information:

Authorities emphasise the importance of citizen assistance and are calling on anyone who was in the vicinity of Rue de Bouillon this morning to share their observations. Given the early hours and the densely populated nature of the neighbourhood, it is hoped that someone may have captured the events, either visually or on video.
