The number of employees who attended training during work fell the first time since 1993

STATEC has published a new study on employee training courses in Luxembourg. As it turned out, the number of companies additionally training their employees remained almost unchanged between 2015 and 2020 — 77% and 76%, respectively.

However, the number of people who completed training courses at work has decreased markedly. It fell from 62% to 57%. It’s the first drop in this number since 1993. Also, fewer hours were spent on these training courses overall.

Covid could be one of the main reasons. Because of it, most of these courses have also moved to an online format.
