Diesel fuel prices in Luxembourg exceed 1.8 euros per liter

Diesel fuel rose in price in the morning this Saturday, August 20. The growth amounted to 4.1 euro cents. Now a liter of diesel costs 1.804 euros. This is bad news, especially for cross-border workers who drive diesel cars. They were accustomed to saving at least a little bit of money, filling up with cheaper fuel on their way to work in the Grand Duchy.

For 10 days, diesel prices rose by almost 12 cents. On August 10, diesel fuel cost 1.687 euros per liter.

Prices for Super 95 and Super 98 gasoline, however, did not increase. Mark 95 still costs 1.638 euros per liter, and 98 — 1.855 euros.

Soon, diesel fuel in Luxembourg may become even more expensive: the summer discount on fuel is coming to an end.
