Luxembourg's «mass destruction» culture continues
The «Luxembourg under destruction» community has published an open petition demanding that all buildings built before 1957 be automatically protected.
This is not the community's first public petition with previous demands in 2020. Back then it quickly gained the necessary number of votes and was discussed rather intensively in the Chamber.
However, no specific action was taken, according to «Luxembourg under destruction». Despite the introduction of the heritage law later on, the deconstruction of old buildings has continued. Among the most striking impressions was the demolition of the old train station in Ettelbrück.
Petition No. 2477 is available online and anyone can vote for it. Anyone can use it to express their position on the issue of cultural and architectural heritage.
