The MRI machine in Potaschberg will become a part of medical insurance packages this Wednesday

Actually, the MRI equipment has been working since April 20. But earlier its use was not fully legalized: the device worked despite the ban from the Ministry of Health. MRI machines can only be used in hospitals, which the center in Potaschberg was not.

This meant that the patients who used it could not be reimbursed as part of the health insurance service.

Now the use of the device is approved at the state level and is included in the CNS insurance package. The center in Potaschberg technically became a branch of a hospital. There are now 12 sets of MRI equipment in operation in Luxembourg.
