Most of the support measures set out in the tripartite agreement of 8 June 2026 (Resilienzpak) remain in force until 31 December 2026. These include 5 cents per litre on diesel and petrol, which is covered by the state, an electricity subsidy for households of 4 cents per kWh (totalling 11.3 cents when combined with earlier measures), as well as 15 cents per litre of heating oil and per cubic metre of gas. This is according to an overview of the measures published by the government on 20 October.
The CGFP civil servants’ trade union is prepared to support the extension of these measures on two conditions: that all provisions remain unchanged, and that the extension lasts for no more than three months. In the union’s view, this will be sufficient time to analyse the situation and make an informed decision on the next steps.
The CGFP will present its demands on Thursday at a meeting of the tripartite monitoring committee, which brings together the government, employers and trade unions.
