Luxembourg will continue to support the construction sector with money
Luxembourg's Economy Minister Lex Delles and Finance Minister Gilles Roth have confirmed the extension of the special anti-crisis financing programme for the construction sector. Initially launched in September 2023, the measure aims to support companies operating in the large construction, technical equipment and finishing sectors in a difficult economic situation.
- The programme was extended to 30 June 2025 after several phases: it was originally due to end in June 2024, then the deadline was extended to December 2024.
- Since the launch, 8 applications have been approved and the total amount of funding provided is 1.25 million euros.
To raise awareness of the programme, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, together with the Federation of Craftsmen, held webinars for interested companies in December 2023.
This initiative was an important step in supporting the construction sector, which has been particularly affected by economic difficulties, by providing the necessary resources to keep companies resilient.
