David Lepoittevin has been appointed as the new Country Manager of Pfizer Pharmaceutical Corporation in Belgium and Luxembourg. With a wealth of 30 years of industry experience and eight years of leadership of the Vaccines Division in France, he is now responsible for the company's commercial and strategic activities in both countries.
In an official press release, Pfizer emphasises that under his leadership, the company will "ensure that patients have timely access to innovative medicines and vaccines".
Pfizer recalls that Belgium and Luxembourg are important links in the company's European structure, which employs more than 5,000 people across four manufacturing and administrative sites. The new director will join the core team based in Brussels.
Lepuatteven's appointment reflects the strategic importance of the region for Pfizer, including in terms of distribution, innovation and supply chain, especially in the context of the post-pandemic rethinking of the role of pharmaceuticals in Europe.
