On 26 December from 16:00, members of the association Lëtzebuerger Landjugend a Jongbaueren (LLJ) will once again embark on a unique "Christmas Tour" on tractors. This unusual tradition, which originated during the coronavirus pandemic, continues to delight residents.

Decorated with festive lights and ornaments, the tractors set off to give a little Christmas joy and support to those who need it most. Special attention is paid to hospitals, nursing homes and other social institutions, where the tour participants try to lift the spirits and remind them of the festive spirit.

As RTL writes, different regional LLJ sections are involved in the organisation, each coordinating a different route. Among them:

  • LLJ Clervaux
  • LLJ Diekirch
  • LLJ Fouhren
  • LLJ Centre
  • LLJ Sud
  • LLJ Grevenmacher
  • LLJ Uewersauer

"The Christmas Tour is not just a spectacle, but an important social event that strengthens ties between urban and rural communities. It is an opportunity to recall the importance of village culture in Luxembourg and to provide a positive experience for those who may be welcoming the holidays away from their families.
