In the Limpertsberg district of the capital, initial preparations have begun for the annual Schueberfouer fair. The distinctive entrance arch, featuring the updated dates of the event, has already been erected in the Glacis car park. The preparations are now entering what is perhaps their busiest phase, involving the delivery of equipment and the assembly of the pavilions.
For this reason, the local authority has already closed off some sections of the car park. Further restrictions will be announced shortly, so motorists are advised to keep an eye on the local authority’s news updates.
The official opening of the 686th Schueberfouer is scheduled for Friday, 21 August. The event will run until 9 September. The Schueberfouer is traditionally regarded as one of the region’s largest cultural and entertainment events: every year, around 2 million people visit the fairground rides and food stalls in Luxembourg City.
