The Luxembourg Ministry of Culture has announced the 2026 national literary competition for poetry collections. Participation is open to authors writing in Luxembourgish, French, German or English - regardless of the chosen theme, volume and target audience. The main condition is that the texts must be completely original, personal and not created with the help of AI.
The competition includes two categories:
- for adult authors aged 20 and over - the main prize will be €7,500,
- for young poets between 12 and 19 years of age - €3,000.
Applications are accepted from individual authors and collectives, provided that they have Luxembourgian nationality, reside, work or have a stable professional connection with the territory of the Grand Duchy. Each participant may submit only one unpublished manuscript collection.
The deadline for submission is 30 June 2026.
The jury of the competition brings together representatives of the Luxembourg literary and linguistic spheres: Claude Bommertz, Sarah Hess, Dana Hempel, Pit Hoerold and Robert Weis.
