The annual Luxembourg Art Week exhibition opened in the Grand Duchy
This year marks the ninth edition of the Luxembourg Art Week. Date: November 10-12;
Price: 20 euros; ticket for students - 10 euros, children under 12 years old - free of charge;
Address: the location of each event can be found on the official festival website.
Luxembourg Art Week workshops and conferences
One such interesting worshop tour will take place tonight at 7:00 p.m. The tour Typically (fe)male? is dedicated to gender roles and identity in art. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the amazing world of women's art, explore the exhibits, and try to find answers to difficult questions: why have artists throughout history painted far more women than men, while there are so few works by female artists?
For those interested in modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and their impact on art, it will be useful to attend the Art and New Technologies conference on November 12 at 11:00 a.m. (it will be held in English). As part of the discussion, industry leaders and artists will gather to discuss what kind of collaboration creators and machines can have together in the future.
Luxembourg Art Week performances and exhibitions
The official opening of the festival will be marked by a collective performance of several artists, photographers, and choreographers. Set to surreal electronic music, the artists will create unusual images on stage and will be joined by a real Taiwanese mermaid diva.
A full list of workshops, tours, conferences, and performances can be found on the festival's official website.
All the works that can be seen during Luxembourg Art Week are divided into three sections:
- Main section — the headliners of the festival, representatives of galleries of international renown, are gathered here;
- Take off — a section organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, which is dedicated to young and emerging galleries and artists;
- [Focus] Wien — special projects through which you can fully immerse yourself in the world of the Viennese art scene.
The paintings are located in various galleries throughout Luxembourg, so be sure to check out the festival program. As you stroll through the exhibitions, you will not only be able to see a current cross-section of contemporary art, but you will also be able to purchase your favorite work.
