This year's third Healthcare Week Luxembourg (HWL) puts artificial intelligence and its transformational impact on healthcare at the centre of the agenda. As the organisers emphasise, AI is no longer an auxiliary tool and is becoming a central element in diagnosis, treatment, administration and training of healthcare professionals.

The Forum will bring together thousands of participants: representatives of hospitals and start-ups, researchers and educators, government agencies and international organisations. Eight thematic sessions will cover key issues from ethics and governance to clinical practice and education. Speakers include leading experts from across Europe: Patricia Garcia-Cañadilla (Barcelona), David Gruson (Ethik-IA, Paris), Stavroula Mougiakakou (Bern), Emanuele Neri (Pisa), Markus Oei (Groningen), as well as representatives from WHO and Luxembourg medical institutes.

Particular attention is being paid to trust and regulatory issues. "The integration of AI offers huge opportunities, but also serious challenges - from ethics and governance to doctor-patient interaction," said Philippe Turk, president of the Federation of Luxembourg Hospitals. According to him, the HWL will become an international platform for sharing practices and developing common principles for the use of AI in medicine.

In addition to the scientific part, the participants will enjoy an exhibition with one hundred exhibitors and the HWL Awards ceremony - innovation awards in four categories: medical innovation, management innovation, and start-ups from Europe and Luxembourg. It is organised by the Luxembourg Federation of Hospitals (FHL) with the support of the French agency Quinze Mai.
