Urgent recall in Luxembourg

RTL/LU-Alert

Luxembourg’s Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) has issued an official warning regarding the risks associated with consuming a pear and vanilla dessert produced by Les délices du chaudron. The product in question is sold in packs of four portions, each weighing 100 grams. The warning has been issued due to the risk of metal particles being present in the product.

The recall applies to batches of the dessert with best-before dates up to 30 September 2026 and 2 October 2026. These products were distributed through numerous retail outlets across the Grand Duchy. Although the presence of metal fragments poses a serious direct threat to consumer health, officials have clarified that, to date, no reports of injuries or incidents related to this product have been received.

As part of the safety protocol, customers who have already purchased the dessert in question are strongly advised to return it to the point of sale. The management guarantees a full refund, emphasising that compensation will be paid even if no receipt is provided.
