A worker died at Luxembourg airport

On the morning of 14 February 2025, a tragic accident occurred at the Findel freight centre resulting in the death of a 32-year-old truck driver. According to lux-Airport officials, the incident occurred shortly before 8am.
According to the police report, the man was crushed by a heavy crate after which he was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but could not be saved.
CGDIS rescue services, police and an investigation team immediately arrived on the scene to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy. A psychological support team was also deployed for employees who witnessed the incident.
lux-Airport and Lux Cargo Handling issued a joint statement expressing their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and all those affected. The companies assured that the investigation is fully underway and the authorities will provide all necessary support.
