This was confirmed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belgium Hadja Lahbib.
The telework agreement between Belgium and Luxembourg has long been a concern among cross-border workers. The difficulties in accounting for tax residency only exacerbated the anxiety.
However, the process is now transparent and open. At the ministerial meeting, the main thesis was voiced: Belgium will take the same steps that Luxembourg took back in 2021. Although politicians did not disclose a specific date for the adoption of the law, Ms Lahbib stressed that «the parliamentary process is already underway.»
