On 3 February 2025, the OGBL and LCGB unions reached an agreement with the management of CIRCLE K Exploitation Luxembourg S.A. (formerly Motorway Luxembourg S.A.), which unites 21 Total Energies petrol stations in Luxembourg. The new collective agreement is for three years, from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027. During the negotiations, which took place in a constructive atmosphere, significant improvements in working conditions were agreed for the company's 450 employees.
One of the key changes was the introduction of a progressive wage scale adapted to the cost of living, which will make wages fairer and more predictable. In addition, employees will be able to count on an indexed quarterly bonus, which, depending on their performance, can reach 125% of the standard amount.
Additional bonuses are provided for employees with many years of service. Now 300 euros (gross) will be paid after 25 years of service instead of the previous 30 years, and employees with 30 years of service will receive 350 euros (gross). They will also benefit from an additional paid day off.
Shift working conditions have also been improved. There will be a 50% bonus for shifts in excess of two consecutive shifts, and for working between 20:00 and 24:00 on Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year's Eve (31 December) the bonus will be 80% of the standard salary.
Additionally, in January 2025, a one-off bonus will be paid to all employees of CIRCLE K Exploitation Luxembourg S.A.: €250 (gross) for assistants and €190 (gross) for other employees.
Other provisions of the collective agreement remained unchanged. Representatives of the OGBL and LCGB noted the significance of the compromise reached, which will provide employees with more stable incomes and better working conditions. The unions also said they would continue their work to protect the interests of CIRCLE K Exploitation Luxembourg S.A. employees, with the aim of further improving their purchasing power and living standards.
