On 6 January 2025, a new collective agreement was signed between the OGBL union, LCGB and the Federation of Luxembourg Elevator Companies. This agreement affects around 700 employees in the industry and represents a significant step forward in improving labour conditions.

Key achievements of the agreement

Wage growth

2% from 1 January 2025; 1% from 1 January 2026; 2% from 1 January 2027

Social leave

Each employee will be entitled to 4 hours of social leave per year.

Guaranteed increase for those whose salaries are not on the wage scale

There is a 2% surcharge every five years.

Revision of the wage scale

An objective and transparent mechanism for qualifying and recalculating salaries by category has been introduced, allowing for a fairer assessment of employees' skills.

The new agreement entered into force on 1 January 2025 and will remain in force until 31 December 2027. Trade union representatives stressed that the improvements achieved were possible thanks to constructive dialogue between the social partners and the desire to improve the working conditions of employees.
