Luxembourg amateur athlete Benjamin Bodig presented a cheque for over €30,000 to the Children's Cancer Foundation. He raised the money while participating in the SaintéLyon night ultra-marathon, one of France's most famous winter races, covering a distance of 80 kilometres.

The decision to take part was motivated by personal history. Bodig had a close relationship with Anne-Sophie Rust, whose son Gauthier died of leukaemia at the age of three. It was this connection that became his main incentive to turn the sporting challenge into a charity event.

The fundraising effort received an additional boost thanks to the support of Bodiga's employer, the Luxembourg Bar Association. The organisation allowed the use of its internal mailing system, which made it possible to send out a request for donations to all lawyers in the country. This institutional resource significantly expanded the campaign's reach and was a key factor in achieving the final amount.
