The Ministry of Health, with the support of Nvision and the CHL Immunology Center, presents the Pollen.lu mobile application. Now one of the most popular websites for allergy sufferers is available on your smartphone. And best of all, it's free!

The app allows users to monitor the concentration of pollen in the air in real time. This is particularly important as the birch is still in active bloom. After a while, it will be joined by cereals, which can also become a real nightmare for allergy sufferers.

Most of them already know when the attacks can be most acute, but it is not always due to weather conditions. Now, the latest information is always at your fingertips. The information is updated three times a day and categorized into 4 categories, from "no detection" to "high concentration".

This is made possible by sensors installed on CHL rooftops. The equipment reacts and detects 11 major irritants, including: birch, hazel, alder, ash, oak, mugwort and grasses.

The application is an important step in the health care system. At last count, more than 80% of the country's population suffers from various allergies. With the help of a handy tool, they will be able to better control dangerous episodes. In addition, the program itself offers recommendations on how to reduce the negative effects of pollen and how to better withstand an attack.
