Events in Luxembourg this weekend, September 17-18

The weekend is just around the corner, so it’s time to think over a plan for Saturday and Sunday. Here’s what’s going on in Luxembourg:

Try your hand at being an artist

Sign up for a painting course on Saturday at the Subtile Gallery. Maike Ambrock, an artist from Trier, will teach the basics of watercolor painting for the beginners. Participants will need watercolor paper, brushes and paints, pencils and old bathrobes that they don’t mind getting dirty. The price of the course is 40 euros per person. Number of seats limited.

OFF CIRCUITS dance performance

Stories about a man, a search for answers, about two spheres — objective and intimate. This performance will help you look at the world around from a new perspective. Who are we in this world? Is there a destiny? What defines us as people? Find answers here. Or maybe only more questions await? The performance starts on September 17 at 19:00.

Glacismaart

Glacismaart is a tradition and one of the most popular markets in Luxembourg. Here you can find almost anything at reasonable prices. Or you can offer customers things that you don’t use anymore for sales. The market is only open on the third Sunday of every month, so don’t miss out.

Swing the Abbey

Discover lindy hop! Swing Dance Luxembourg organizes the fourth Swing the Abbey festival in Neumünster Abbey. Hence the name of the festival. Doors will be open on September 18 from 15:30 to 18:30. No prior dancing experience required — the organizers will teach everyone on sight. After the lesson, a buffet with sweets and a big dance session are expected.

Speak no Evil

Between clumsy politeness and paralyzing fear where does the line blur? The film Speak no Evil will show the stages of friendship from an unexpected and frightening angle.
