Housing prices in Luxembourg continue to rise

In the second quarter of 2022, apartment prices increased by 11.5%, and house prices — by 15.5% compared to the previous year. Analytical agency STATEC shared this data on housing prices recently.

At the same time, the number of housing purchases fell. Sales of apartments in the secondary market lowered by 5.9%, and new apartments were bought 17,1%. How high prices affected house purchases is not specified in the data.

In 2020 and 2021, prices in the housing market also only grew — by 14.5% and 13.9%, respectively.
