Luxembourg is one of the 20 smartest countries in the world
A recent World Population Review study has provided updated data on IQ levels in countries around the world. It is quite expected that people in Asia have the highest scores, but Europe has a lot to boast about as well.
The national average IQ level is the arithmetic mean of those tested. There are several gradations: among students, among the working population, and so on. We will look at the aggregate indicator.
The top 10 smartest countries are as follows:
- Japan (IQ 106,48)
- Taiwan (IQ 106,47)
- Singapore (IQ 105.89)
- Hong Kong (IQ 105,37)
- China (IQ 104,1)
- South Korea (IQ 102,35)
- Belarus (IQ 101,6)
- Finland (IQ 101,2)
- Liechtenstein (IQ 101,07)
- Germany (IQ 100,74)
Luxembourg is behind its neighbours, Germany and the Netherlands, with 100.74 points each. In 13th place, the Grand Duchy boasts a score of 99.87, which is still high.
