Metal fragments in cheese. Massive food recalls in Luxembourg

Metal fragments were found in President brand cheeses.

A food inspection found pieces of metal in some of the French cheeses. Now they are removed from the shelves en masse. The sanctions affected «Sainte Maure», «Fromage de chèvre» and «La Bûche Fondante» cheese varieties.

Sainte Maure cheese was reportedly sold in many different shop chains: Alima, Cactus, Cora, Delhaize, Match, Smatch, Pallcenter, Epicerie Food 2GO, Epicerie Am Duerf, Epicerie Billa Bonissim and l’Épicerie Massen.

Fromage de chèvre was sold at Cactus and La Bûche Fondante at Auchan.

The injestion of these cheeses can lead to suffocation and serious damage to internal organs.
