Motorcyclist seriously injured in an accident on CR121

On Friday, July 22, a motorcycle accident happened on the CR121 road between Müllerthal and Vugelsmillen. The driver sustained serious injuries and had to be delivered to a hospital nearby.

This aid was provided by emergency services workers from Ettelbruck, Larochette and Waldbillig. The road had to be temporarily closed off due to the accident.

And this was not the only accident this Friday evening. Another motorcycle crashed on CR364 between Beaufort and Berdorf. A car caught fire on the A4, and another one flew into the crash barrier on the A3 near the French border. In the capital two cars collided on the Avenue Emile Reuter.

There are a lot of motorcycle-related accidents in the Grand Duchy. Last year there were 59 of them. Motorcycle enthusiasts were involved in traffic accidents more than once a week. In three of these cases, the motorcyclist ended up dead. In 2022, the situation continues to escalate: in July alone, three motorcyclists died on the road in just four days.
