From 29 March to 12 October 2025, Parc Merveilleux, one of Luxembourg's most beloved parks, reopens its gates to the public. From 9:30 to 19:00 every day, guests can enjoy refreshed areas, rare animals and educational activities for the whole family.
Among the innovations is a forest maze for children, located next to the Raiffeisen playground and mini zoo. There is also a new play area near the Madagascar House, where the enclosures have been renovated. Here you can now see lemurs that greet guests at the entrance - they were placed in the modernised enclosures, replacing the old structures.
Since January, the park has been home to a pair of Iberian wolves, a rare predatory breed originating from the Iberian Peninsula. In the 1970s, the population of these wolves was reduced to 50 pairs due to mass poisoning and hunting. Today, the species is included in the European Endangered Species Programme, and the new arrival in Bettembourg is part of this initiative.
The marine aquariums in the Amazon House have been completely restored after a fire, giving the exhibit a fresh look and a closer look at the underwater world.
The park is becoming increasingly accessible: an additional door at the entrance has been added for pushchair and wheelchair users, and the old turnstile has been replaced with a modern pass system, which will significantly reduce queues.
For those who want to stay overnight, a guest house right at the entrance is available. And to make the journey easier, on weekends and public holidays a retro bus will run from the Park & Ride "Krackelshaff" to the park every 20 minutes, from 11:00 to 19:00.
The Zoo School is also back in operation - school groups and young visitors from 6 to 12 years old will be able to take the "Little Zookeeper" course, where children will learn more about the life of the animals and be able to participate in their care.
Tickets and restaurant seats can now be pre-booked online, avoiding queues and making your visit as comfortable as possible.
