Salmon taken off Auchan shelves

Dom Petroff smoked salmon tartare with black truffle is being recalled from stores in Luxembourg. It contained traces of the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause fever and gastroenteritis. The latter can manifest itself both in a few hours and within a few days. For people at risk or with a weakened immune system, there is a risk of developing meningitis.

Anyone who has eaten this salmon and has symptoms of the disease is urged to seek help from specialists.
