The last vaccination center may close soon

The Victor Hugo Vaccination Center is almost empty. Now you can often see a scene in which there is more staff at the center than patients. The reason for this is the decrease in the number of morbidities and the fact that most Luxembourgers have already been vaccinated.

The Center costs about 122,000 euros per month. These are only fixed costs for equipment, video surveillance, IT infrastructure, cleaning, and disinfection. Plus staff salaries, which can differ depending on the activity and level of qualification.

Paulette Lehnert, Minister of Health, stated that if the trend of declining patient numbers continues, it will be wise to shut down the center and move vaccinations to the hospital's offices and pharmacies.
