The pool at Oberkorn will not open this summer

The last major renovation of the pool took place in 1998. Since then, the infrastructure has been upgraded. Now, the mayor of Differdange, Guy Altmeisch, is planning to build a hotel complex to accommodate athletes, coaches and referees in comfortable conditions.
Such plans will require much more time and effort than the usual repair and cleaning of the pool and surrounding areas. As a result, both the public and the mayor himself remain concerned that the pool will be closed by the summer of 2025.
The hotel project has not yet been officially announced and approved, so the situation may change. What is known for sure is the renovation of the heating system, technical installations and other components that are already hopelessly outdated and may pose a threat to the health of visitors and the normal functioning of the pool.
