Trains between Ettelbruck and Mersch temporarily stopped

Railway company CFL has canceled a number of trains on the line passing through Mersch and Ettelbruck. They’ve stopped running on the morning of Wednesday, August 31. Technical work on the railway section between the two cities is cited as the cause.

Regular buses operate on the closed section of the route, temporarily replacing the railway. Mersch-Luxembourg trains are still running. How long will the closure last? When will it be possible to get directly to Ettelbruck or Diekirch by rail is still unknown.
