Two bus routes no longer travel to France after 6:30 p.m.

RGTR has shortened two bus routes — 703 and 732. Now after 18:30 they will not serve the Mont-Saint-Martin stop in France. For route 703, the changes have already taken effect. Now in the evenings it ends its run in Aubange. For route 732, the changes will take effect from December.

Naturally, this created problems for dozens of passengers. Many cross-border workers no longer have a reliable bus service to take home in the evening. However, the Ministry of Transport approved the changes to the routes.

The reason is simple: since August, buses and their drivers have been attacked numerous times in Mont-Saint-Martin. Some attackers limited themselves to petty vandalism and threats. But several times attacks involved shooting. The drivers appealed to the ministry through the trade unions demanding that immediate action is taken.

The incidents are currently under investigation. As soon as Luxembourg and France are sure that nothing threatens passengers and drivers, traffic on the routes will be fully restored.
