Sixteen new petitions are available on the website of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, covering topics ranging from education and social protection to the environment and transport. These initiatives allow citizens to directly influence the legislative process by proposing specific changes to the country's policies.

One of the petitions proposes to limit the number of pupils in school classes to a maximum of 24. This should improve the learning environment and attention to each pupil. Another petition calls for free hygiene products, including condoms and menstrual products. There is also a proposal to restrict the use of food stamps to working citizens to prevent possible abuse.

In the area of environment and transport, citizens propose to reduce the cost of charging electric cars, which should encourage a switch to environmentally friendly transport. It is also proposed to introduce compulsory practical driving courses every ten years to renew driving licences in order to improve road safety. Another initiative concerns a ban on night flights, which should reduce noise and improve the quality of life near airports.

One of the most unusual initiatives was a proposal to allow registration in hotels and campsites as an official residence. This may help people who temporarily do not have a permanent home but want to keep a legal address.

In order for a petition to be considered in a public debate in the Chamber of Deputies, it must collect at least 4,500 signatures. However, from 15 March, this threshold will be raised to 5,500 signatures, making it more difficult for petition organisers. All initiatives can be supported on the official petition platform of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies.
