Luxembourg calls for a ban on night flights

Luxembourg residents are stepping up their fight for a complete ban on night flights. Recently, activists published petition No. 3507 on petitions.lu, demanding a ban on loud night flights at Luxembourg airport, as they continue to disturb people despite the current restrictions.
As we wrote , the problem of night noise remains a pressing issue. Formally, the airport does not accept commercial flights between 23:00 and 06:00, but in practice the ban is not observed: under various pretexts, planes continue to take off and land at night.
The Findel+ group (which supports the initiative) plans to organise pickets to draw attention to the problem and collect as many signatures as possible.

If the petition gets at least 4,500 signatures by 18 April 2025, it will be considered in parliament. Activists hope that this will help to finally ban night flights and protect the sleep of thousands of residents.
