Luxembourg ranks 4th among most comfortable countries for women

Finland and Iceland shared the honorable 4th place with the Grand Duchy. The winners in 2023 were Denmark, Switzerland, and Sweden: they took 1st to 3rd place respectively.

Traditionally, the European countries lead the ranking. This is not surprising, since most of them can be described as peaceful, dynamically developing, and developed countries. Another important factor is the ability to adapt to unexpected crises, which have become more frequent over the past five years.

The WPS index awards scores based on 13 criteria. The most important of these are accessibility and quality of education, legal and physical security, political relevance, health (including maternal mortality), and proximity to armed conflict.
