Luxembourg won't freeze this winter

The rest of Europe is not threatened by the cold either. This winter is likely to be warmer than average. That’s the data from the Copernicus Climate Change Service.

A warm winter is most likely to occur in the UK, on the Mediterranean coast and in some countries of Central Europe. If frost and cold spare at least these territories, Europe will have enough gas for the season and then some.

However, the risk remains that the winter will be colder than expected. But even then Europe will not freeze. With low temperatures, European governments may temporarily close some facilities. This will save energy and redirect it to heating households.
