The Luxembourg Ministry of Agriculture and Viticulture announces the launch of EIP-Bottom-Up, a new project initiative to support applied innovation in the agricultural sector. The aim is to find solutions born on the ground, from people who know the industry inside out.

Farmers, winemakers, vegetable growers, fruit growers and beekeepers who want to develop or test an idea in their own production are invited to participate. One thing is important: the initiative must come from a practising agrarian, not from above from an administrative office.

The project should offer a new solution to a specific challenge - whether it is environmental or technical modernisation, adaptation to climate change, a new value chain, or the creation of a network of cooperation between producers.

Funding can be obtained if the applicant joins an innovation partnership with at least one participant from the field of science, consulting or education. This can be a research institute, an agricultural consultant, an educational institution, etc.

The first stakeholder networking event will take place on Monday, 14 July 2025 from 9:00 to 11:30 at the Institute of Viticulture (Institut viti-vinicole, IVV). Here, participants will be able to:

  • get detailed information about the conditions of participation;
  • Test your ideas in a pitch format (short presentations);
  • to find potential partners from other areas.

The event is open to everyone, even if the idea is not yet officially presented.

Details of the call for proposals and the registration form for the meeting at IVV are published on the official portal: www.landwirtschaft.lu in the section "Aktuelles".
