Luxembourg airport was not prepared for the bad weather
On 8 January, Luxembourg was hit by heavy snowfall, which temporarily closed the runway at Findel airport and caused severe disruptions in air traffic. Many flights were diverted to other cities, including Liège, Porto and Barcelona, and some were cancelled altogether.
In an official statement, Luxair assured that the situation is under control and the main priority remains the safety of passengers. However, the company representatives also recognised that some events remain beyond their control.
Passengers also complain about the lack of communication with Luxair's hotline and the lack of on-site coordination. Many express dissatisfaction with the lack of basic comfort and information on next steps.
