Drivers in Luxembourg will have to pay more for fuel: the price of SP95 petrol will increase by 3.9 cents per litre. From midnight on Wednesday, the maximum retail price of fuel will be €1.522 per litre.
The increase affects one of the most common types of petrol used in the country. As before, prices are set in the form of a maximum retail price, which includes VAT and applies throughout Luxembourg. This regulatory mechanism is used by the government to limit sharp price fluctuations at petrol stations.
At the time of the last update, fuel prices in the country were €1.483 per litre for EuroSuper 95 (E10), €1.617 for SuperPlus 98 (E5) and €1.485 per litre for diesel (B7). Among other energy sources, the price of heating fuel was €0.922 per litre for low-sulphur fuel and €1.009 for fuel with a higher sulphur content.
