Rail services between Luxembourg and the municipality of Bettembourg have been significantly disrupted due to technical faults reported in the vicinity of Berchem station. According to the national rail operator CFL, the incident directly affected two routes: Luxembourg – Esch – Rodange and Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz.

As a result of the incident, the operator was forced to cancel all high-speed trains running between Luxembourg and the commune of Rodange in both directions. However, regional passenger services on this route continue to operate. In addition, trains bound for Metz have not been taken out of service, although the intervals between services have been temporarily increased.

CFL’s technical specialists are currently at the scene to investigate the causes of the disruption and resolve the issue. According to the operator’s official forecast, normal rail services will be fully restored by 15:00 on Wednesday. Company representatives advise passengers to check the latest information on service status before planning their journeys.
