Luxembourg events for 8-10 November

From 8 to 15 November 2024, the Ishikawa Fair will take place at the Cloche d'Or shopping centre in Luxembourg, celebrating Japanese traditional and contemporary culture. Visitors will be able to enjoy handicrafts, fine sake and Japanese food. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to help Ishikawa after the earthquake on 1 January 2024. On Saturday, 9 November, a day of performances, inaugurated by Japanese Ambassador Tadahiro Matsubara, will take place from 12:15 to 3:30pm, with calligraphy demonstrations and a performance by Taiko drummers.

On 10 November 2024 at 11:00am, Rambert Dance's performances of Sharp Visors: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby will feature an interactive workshop led by musical director and drummer Jaron Engler at the Grand Théâtre. Participants will be able to explore the world of Sharp Visors through rhythm and movement. The class will take place in English and will last 1.5 hours.

Repair Café is back! From small appliances and clothes to bicycles and toys, broken items can be repaired for free. Repair Café helps to reduce waste and CO2 emissions, extending the life of things and supporting sustainable consumption. Local people can exchange ideas and volunteers with skills in electronics, sewing, woodwork and mechanics are always welcome.

On 9 and 10 November 2024, Luxexpo The Box will host a wedding fair, open from 10:00 to 18:00. On both days there will be fashion shows at 11:30, 14:30 and 17:00. The fair will feature 60 exhibitors from Luxembourg, Belgium, France and other countries offering services for weddings: photographers, stylists, equipment hire, venues, wedding dresses, catering, honeymoon organisation and much more.
