Luxembourg events for 9-11 August
There are two major festivals going on this weekend. It's hard to decide which one to go to, but there's plenty of time to visit both. But it's still best to plan your schedule in advance.

The e-Lake festival will take place on the shores of Lake Echternach from August 9 to 11, 2023 and will feature concerts, live performances and DJ sets. Visitors will be able to dance to pop, hip-hop, rock 'n' roll, trance, house and techno music from local and international artists such as Markus Schulz, OG KEEMO and TUYS. An outdoor amphitheater atmosphere is created around the lake. Camping is available for guests and will open on Thursday, August 8th at 2pm and close on Monday at noon. Free shuttles will be available again this year and organizers encourage pre-registration for optimal transportation arrangements.
Picadilly Wine Festival
August 9-11, 2024

From Friday to Sunday, the village of Stadtbredimus in the Moselle region of Luxembourg will once again host the Picadilly Wine Festival. This annual celebration, known for its slogan "Don't be silly, ask for a Picadilly!", invites guests to enjoy the sweet, lightly sparkling wine of the same name, as well as other drinks, food, music and dancing. Friday and Saturday are party days, while Sunday is more family-friendly with a concert by the Esch-sur-Alzette Municipal Orchestra. Admission is free and shuttle buses are provided for the convenience of visitors.
Festrogen Comedy Film Screening
August 10, 2024
€3
Fr, En
The Festrogen Women's Humor Festival at the Rainbow Center in Luxembourg will screen Paige Hurwitz's documentary Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution on August 10, 2024 at 19:00, followed by a live discussion with Belinda Carroll, one of the queer comedians featured in the film. This unique documentary explores the history of LGBTQ+ comedy as a form of resistance, from the Stonewall riots to the AIDS crisis to Ellen DeGeneres coming out on the cover of TIME. Acknowledging that many stories have yet to be told, Hurwitz highlights the urgency of the issues facing the community, especially against the backdrop of growing transphobia in contemporary stand-up.
