Luxembourg events for August 2-4

August in Luxembourg is a traditional lull before the Schueberfouer extravaganza. And while most people's attention is focused on the Olympic Games, we offer you the opportunity to enjoy the quiet events in the capital.
Kanner in the City
The City of Luxembourg has announced the summer children's event Kanner in the City on August 2 and 3, 2024. The CAPEL Education and Entertainment Center will organize this event within the framework of the Aktioun Bambësch program. This year's theme will be "Do you dare?" with games and workshops for children from four to twelve years old and their parents. The event will take place at various locations around the city and is free of charge.
Red Cross Bazaar
The monthly fair organized by the Luxembourg Red Cross takes place every first Saturday of the month from March to December at 5 rue des Bruyères, L-1274 Howald, from 10:00 to 17:00. Visitors can purchase a variety of items, including second-hand clothing, accessories, toys and furniture. The next dates are: August 3, September 7, October 5, November 2 and December 7.
Art in Grund
On May 5th, the 19th season of the open-air gallery Konscht am Gronn (Art in the Ground) started. Organized since 2006 with the support of the City of Luxembourg, this open-air art market will take place every first Sunday of the month until October. Visitors will be able to see and buy various works of art and original creations by about 20 artists of different nationalities. The entrance to the National Museum of Natural History is free during the days of the Konscht am Gronn. The fair will be open from 10:00 to 18:00 on August 4, September 1, and October 6.
