Luxembourg events for July 19-21

Pizzeria Cloud Factory will once again break the national record for the longest pizza in Luxembourg. The event will take place on Saturday, July 20th 2024 in Esch-sur-Alzette. Following last year's success, the pizza will be cooked from 10:00 to 15:00, with the final result expected around 13:00. Cloud Factory, which was ranked 36th on the 50 Top Pizzas in 2023 and ranked as a "great pizzeria" in 2024, is aiming to create an even more impressive pizza to beat the previous record of 100 meters. Visitors will be able to try a free slice of the record-breaking pizza and enjoy specialty drinks and ice cream, with music from a DJ creating a festive atmosphere.

Luxembourg-based amateur music group Luxicals asbl has announced their upcoming concert "The Mystery of the Grand Hotel Wellington", which will take place on Friday, July 19th and Saturday, July 20th at the Forum Geesseknäppchen in Hollerich. The concert, based on a story written by the band, includes well-known musical songs, pop songs (such as ABBA and others) and original works. The story revolves around Archibald "Archie" Wellington, a hotel owner who hires detectives because of threatening letters. The concert will also feature the band's first CD, Luxicals Originals Chapter One, featuring songs in Luxembourgish, English and German written and performed by the band's artists.

The Street Cup football tournament will start on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11:00 n Dommeldange. Organized by Streetwork Luxembourg City in partnership with Caritas Jeunes et Famille, Caritas Accueil et Solidarité, the Luxembourg Red Cross and Inter-actions asbl, this tournament aims to promote respect, social inclusion and cohesion. The winner will be the team that shows the most respect and sportsmanship, not the team that wins the final. Twelve teams made up of street workers, people they have met in different districts and social service workers will compete on a multi-sports field.

WeOrganize.lu is organizing a craft and hobby fair to support local small businesses on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 11:30 to 16:00 at the youth hostel in Echternach. This is a cozy street market with local goods for people of all ages and interests. Snacks and drinks will be available at the hostel. Admission is free for visitors. Vendors who want to showcase their small business can make a reservation by email.
