Luxembourg events schedule for June 16-18: concerts, galleries and football game

It is impossible to stay at home on these clear and warm days in Luxembourg. That's why it's a good idea to have a cultural walk around the capital and see what the summer city has to offer.

Match Luxembourg vs. Liechtenstein

No need for comment here. Watching a live match from the standium is not the same as watching it on TV. Especially when the weather allows you to grab your favourite drink and head to the game. Just make sure you bring a hat and sunscreen. It's easy to forget the heat in the excitement of the game! The game starts at 15:00 and tickets start at 20 euros.

Address: Stade de Luxembourg, boulevard de Kockelscheuer, L-1821 LUXEMBOURG

Orchids of Luxembourg

Visit the Natural History Museum on a Sunday if you're not a sports fan. Take a guided tour to learn about the orchids that grow in the Grand Duchy, what they look like and how they are grown. It's also possible to see remarkably accurate replicas made from plastic casts, in addition to the live flowers. The tour costs only 5 euros!

Address: Musée national d'histoire naturelle, 25 rue Münster, L-2160 LUXEMBOURG

Poster exhibition

The Luxembourg City Museum has more than 2,500,000 posters from different periods. They show the evolution of graphic design, social attitudes, political movements.

Of course, digital communication has taken over, but the poster is still one of the best known and one of the most effective ways to influence people in a direct way.

Here you will find the 100 best works, as selected by the public jury.

Address: 14, rue du Saint-Esprit, 1475 Lëtzebuerg City Museum

My Urban Piano

17 pianos are already installed in Luxembourg. Anyone can touch the keys and play. The project started a few years ago. It has become so popular that it has quickly become a cultural tradition.

People gather around the instruments. The air is filled with well-known compositions or improvisations by talented pianists.

Address: the instruments are located in parks and public places.
