Luxembourg recognized as one of the least risky countries

International SOS has released its annual Risk Map, this time with additional indicators. This interactive tool allows companies and employees to evaluate potential threats and to better adapt and prepare for risks.

According to the results of the study, Luxembourg has become one of the safest countries in the world. Almost all of its ratings are at very low levels. The only thing the Grand Duchy cannot claim is good data on mental health. This is influenced by many factors: the amount of overwork, the high cost of living and others. Of course, the situation is still much better than in its larger neighbors, but it doesn't reach the level of Eastern Europe or the Balkans.

Health risks are generally among the lowest in Western Europe. Luxembourg does not stand out for its advanced medical care and active assistance to all residents.

In this category, Luxembourg is a step ahead of its neighbors. It's all about great levels of personal and system safety. Its status as a European financial center requires it to take the most stringent protective measures.

Climate risks

Despite the unusual color choice, Luxembourg and Belgium are in the low-risk category. The climate risk indicator shows the level of potential threat of cataclysmic events and disasters if conditions on the planet change. It is worth noting that countries in Central Africa and some Asian countries have the greatest problems.

Several global conclusions can be drawn from the data presented. For example, climate change poses health risks. At the same time, escalating geopolitical conflicts pose a threat to global security.

A map can help with long-term business planning as well as short-term business planning. For example, choosing a country for your next vacation.
