On 7 February 2025, the rating agency Moody's affirmed Luxembourg's credit rating at "AAA" with a stable outlook. This means that the country remains one of the most financially stable in the world.
Moody's explains its decision by the fact that in 2024 budget revenues grew faster than expenditures, which helped stabilise public debt. The agency's analysts now expect its sustainability in 2025-2026.
The strength of financial institutions and the efficiency of public administration were also recognised. Luxembourg is among the countries with the best reputation in risk management for the economy, public finance and banking sector.
Thus, Moody's estimates that Luxembourg will maintain stable economic growth despite global uncertainty.
